They will be offering scholarships to prospective gamers and they want to have a team by August.

Dawson Community College plans on competing in games such as Rocket League, Overwatch, CS:GO and others. They will compete against college teams all across the country.

This marks the fourth Montana college/university to add an esports team. The University of Montana and the University of Providence both have esports teams. Yellowstone Christian College announced earlier this year they will also be adding an esports team as well.

Esports has been one of the fastest growing sports in America and around the world. There are more than 170 members of the National Association of Collegiate Esports.

This is great for a lot of young kids in Montana communities who enjoy gaming. Now they have even more opportunities to gain scholarships and go to colleges.

Plus, they can even compete for national championships.

Will we see Montana State University add an esports team as well? It's probably just a matter of time. If University of Montana has one, that's just another rivalry match to have between the two big schools in the 406.

Plus, with everything up in the air with COVID-19, adding an esports team would be such an easy thing to add to the university.

Going to college and playing video games as a scholarship? What a dream.
