It has been almost 14 years since Notorious B.I.G was shot and killed. During the investigation there were murder suspects but no arrests. The former LAPD in charge of the investigation Russel Poole grew frustrated with Biggie's murder investigation and eventually retired. Now, after all these years there is new information that has given the case new life.

I am so excited about this. Biggie and Tupac Shakur's murders have been two of the biggest unanswered events in the rap world. Russel Poole believed while doing his investigation that former Death Row boss Suge Knight had Biggie killed with the help of off-duty police officers. Poole was not allowed to look into any leads that involved the other officers. Poole released a statement about his investigation saying that he thought he was getting to close to the truth. He said he thinks they feared that the truth would be a scandal. Now in 2011, while details are a little sketchy, a task force of local and federal agencies are looking into new leads. Of those involved you have Los Angeles Police Department, the L.A. District Attorney's Office and the FBI.

There has been no more information released about this but I will be following as best as I can. I love Notorious B.I.G. and hope that something will become of this case and in hopes for Tupac also.
