Montana has many things we enjoy. Incredible rivers, hidden lakes, and hikes for days, but if there is one thing we have en masse, it's mountain towns. Montana has several spectacular mountain rangers that span over much of the state.

What makes these mountains fantastic is the towns that sit below them. These towns have personalities and communities that help the area become more inviting and unique than anywhere else in America.

According to Thrillist, Livingston is one of the best mountain towns in the United States for obvious reasons. Livingston is a place where cultures collide. Cowboys, poets, singers, and folks congregate and enjoy what's around them.
Livingston is home to several iconic hotels and bars and is a gateway to Yellowstone and every outdoor activity you could imagine.
The only downside of Livingston is the high winds.
Are there other mountain towns that should be included? Yes!
Places like Philipsburg, Whitefish, Columbia Falls, and Gardiner are all unique and incredible mountain towns in Montana. They all offer different things and activities and have different personalities.
