Belgrade Police Warn Residents of New Telephone Scam

The Belgrade Police Department has reported another telephone scam targeting residents in the Gallatin Valley.

According to the Belgrade Police Facebook page, scammers are "spoofing" the general City of Belgrade phone number of 388-3760 to make solicitation calls.

The definition of 'spoofing' means that when a scammer calls you, the City of Belgrade phone number shows up on your caller ID, but that's not where the call is coming from.

If you receive any of these calls, please hang up and contact the City of Belgrade Directly to confirm.
