Avalanche Fatality in Southern Madison Range

Some tragic news coming out of the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center. Yesterday, a group on several snowmobiles on the west side of Sage Peak accidentally triggered a avalanche and one of the riders was buried and sadly passed.

This is just a reminder that if you are planning on going to the back country near some of our mountain ranges to be careful because there have been several avalanches triggered in the past few days. The Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center is a great place to get updates on snow fall, conditions and so much more in our area.
