This is amazing. I love talking to listeners. Their opinions on songs or artists are always interesting and very passionate. Most DJs know that listeners are what help us have a job, and I am thankful for that.  Plus, some of them just need someone to talk to.

Last week in England, a man named Bill, who is 95 years old, called the BBC Radio during Alex Dyke's mid morning show.  Bill called to say he was lonely, missed his wife and needed someone to talk to. Bill is a long-time fan of Dyke's show and the radio team got together and got Bill a taxi to come to the radio station.

That is when he became the star of the show. Listeners called in and talked to Bill and it was received positively. Bill's wife had a severe fall and he couldn't take care of her and she was put in a resting home, but he visits her every day. Bill loved being at the radio station and all the callers. If you want to check out the original story from BuzzFeed, I highly recommend it. You can watch the video below and hear Bill's original call in.
