Many Montanans would love this option when flying.

Popular Airlines in Montana

We love reliability.

Montanans are simple. If you provide a service, food, or goods that are consistently fantastic, we will keep coming back. These standards are most associated with restaurants, products, and travel.

What's most important when Montanans fly? Is it cheap airfare? Or do you like free perks? Or does it come down to reliability?

For most, it's all of the above.

Montanans have a few favorite airlines.

Some locals love Delta because it offers flights across the United States, Allegiant has cheap flights to exciting destinations, and Alaska has some fantastic perks.

Each airline wants to ensure its customers that their flight will be fun and painless.

One part of flying that can be annoying is going through security.

Waiting to take off your shoes, getting scanned, and making sure you don't have anything illegal in your bag can be a hassle.

Some Montanans use TSA Precheck to avoid most of that, but one airline is taking it a step further, which could entice many locals.

Alaska Airlines' Touchless ID Program

Getting through security is becoming more convenient.

The Points Guy reports that Alaska Airlines aims to simplify the travel experience for its customers with Touchless ID.

Alaska is introducing Touchless ID at several West Coast airports. They also plan to expand this service to other airports with a high volume of flights.

What is the Touchless ID process? You don't have to take out your boarding pass or ID. It's a biometric scan that confirms your identity, and you move through security faster.

You need to have TSA Precheck and the Alaska Mileage Program to opt into this option.

Could this program be an option at Montana airports soon?

The only place in Montana that would make sense to add this option would be the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport.

Alaska Airlines is a significant player at the Bozeman Airport. Locals love them and would enjoy a swift security process.

It makes sense for the Touchless ID to come to Bozeman.
