The Montana Daily Gazette had reported a story regarding a parent who is FURIOUS regarding the school bus system and kicking her eight-year-old off the bus, not at home, for not having a mask on. You can read her full story HERE. How do you feel about it, how it was handled, and what should be the next step, if one at all?

Here is my opinion about this, and I have had situations with schools that I find absolutely ridiculous as well, but I would be SO mad as well. The problem I see with this is, the safety of the kids kicked off the bus. The kid was only eight, that isn't even old enough to stay home for a couple of hours by themself.

Kids can take their masks off at school to eat lunch, take drinks, etc. so was not having his mask on, on the bus such a big deal that the child needed to be removed from the bus, not at his normal stop? I don't personally believe so. Kids forget things all the time. As parents, we know this because we are constantly repeating ourselves.

The other side of this is, wearing a mask on the bus is mandatory, so rules are rules. Did the driver do the right thing? The easy way to solve this issue, have a box of disposable masks available at the front of the bus so the driver can hand out one if they need one. The school bus is responsible for our kids until they are dropped at their specific drop spot, which apparently didn't happen.

What is the solution to this issue? What if it was your kiddo, what would you have done? The School has released an update that can be found HERE.
