This is actually a really good question because there could be quite a few options but we might now have an answer.

Stadium Talk put together of a list of the Most Legendary High School Recruits from Every State and I was genuinely interested on who they would choose. There are a few good options they could choose but they went with a recent recruit that was very highly recruited out of high school not for only football but also for basketball.

Stadium Talk went with Kalispell native Brock Osweiler as the most highly recruited football player out of the state of Montana.

Brock Osweiler attended Flathead High in Kalispell and was originally committed to play college basketball at Gonzaga University but changed his mind and signed to play football at Arizona State University. He was drafted in the second round of the 2012 draft by the Denver Broncos.

There were times were Osweiler looked like he could be a full time starter but just couldn't find consistent results. Osweiler did win a Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos and then signed a four year, $72 million dollar deal with the Houston Texans but wasn't a starter after the first season. So, at least he made some good money in the NFL.

We can't deny that Osweiler was very highly recruited coming out of high school but Montana has had their fair share of very successful NFL players. You could include place kicker Dan Carpenter, linebacker Dane Fletcher and Pro Football Hall of Famer kicker Jan Stenerud. They are all noteworthy in my eyes.
