One of the best things about the Christmas season is all of the goodies. Let's be honest, it's hard not a pack on a few pounds during the holidays with all of the sweet treats to choose from.

When I was a kid, my mom would always make homemade fudge around Christmas time. It was something that I always looked forward to.

Recently, the website Zippia.com released a list of the most popular Christmas treats in every state. In nine states, the most popular treat is cheesecake. Some states, like Idaho, seem to be pretty boring with the most popular Christmas treat being a candy cane. I mean, seriously? Out of all the delicious holiday treat options, the most popular is a candy cane? Somethings seems a bit off.

Now, let's get to Montana. According to the list, the most popular Christmas treat in the treasure state is Yule Log Cake. What in the heck is Yule Log Cake? After we looked it up, we realized it actually looks really good. The cake represents the yule log that families would burn starting on Christmas Eve. The burning of the yule log symbolized the new year to come and would bring good luck to the family. It's also known as Bûche de Noël cake.
