Here come the men (and women) in black. Okay, first things first: If Tessa Thompson doesn’t get to cover Will Smith’s OG Men in Black theme song for the end credits of this spinoff / reboot / whatever we’re calling it this time, I am going to be DISPLEASED. But in all honesty, turning this thing into a Thor: Ragnarok reunion just guaranteed a blockbuster hit — and we are, as the children say, here for it.

A reboot of Men in Black doesn’t sound all that appealing — especially ever since we learned that the proposed 21 Jump Street / MiB crossover is no longer in the works. But when you bring Chris Hemsworth into the equation, suddenly a Men in Black reboot sounds pretty damn attractive. Handsome, even.

Hopefully you’re not tired of that look just yet because Empire magazine debuted two new Thor: Ragnarok covers full of colorful neon.

Looking at Facebook or Twitter or even casting so much as a brief glance at news headlines has become a daily source of despair. So if you’ve done any of those things today (and you totally have), you’re probably in the market for something a little more warm and fuzzy. Chris Hemsworth seems to still have a bit of a chip on his shoulder from being mostly excluded from Captain America: Civil War. Sure, he gets to be back with his buddies for Avengers: Infinity War, but he managed to take a little time during a break on set to work some of his frustrations out.

The third solo outing for the God of Thunder isn’t just any new Marvel movie, but a distinctly Taika Waititi one. That means it’s going to be a heck of a lot more fun than you’d imagine.

While I tend to enjoy the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I’ve always felt so far that the two Thor movies are the weak link in that particular comic book chain. They’re well-cast for sure, but the plots tend to be underwhelming, the settings and effects aren’t always up to the scale of god beings soaring through the stars, and the villains (apart from Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, of course) have been even more forgettable than the typical Marvel baddies.
