The latest 'Riddick' adventure starring Vin Diesel is in the can and awaiting distribution. We're still unsure of when it will come out (Universal will release it sometime in 2013), but what we do know is what it will be rated. Did it go the PG-13 route of 'The Chronicles of Riddick', or did it stick to its guns and rock a hard-R (like its granddaddy, 'Pitch Black')? Find out after the break!

Rest easy, fans: according to Box Office Mojo, the MPAA has given 'Riddick' an R for "strong violence, language and some sexual content/nudity." This jibes with what Diesel has been saying for over a year, that he and director David Twohy have always intended an R rating, and that Universal has been on board with the concept from the get-go.

Besides, this is the movie that brings Riddick back to badass form; anything less than strong violence will not do.

Also starring Karl Urban, Katee Sackhoff, Keri Hilson, Dave Bautista and Jordi Molla, the films finds the infamous Riddick left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he's encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.
