Perfect Montana Diner

What a surprise answer.

Foodie Haven published 50 Diners That Define Their State, and Montana's was a wild card choice.

What's the one diner that perfectly defines Montana?

The Hitching Post in Melstone.

Here is the interesting part.

Foodie Haven says The Hitching Post is in Billings, but it's not.

The Hitching Post is nowhere near Billings. The diner is between Dillon and the I-15 turnoff outside Butte.

The Hitching Post is a classic diner.

They have daily specials and serve hot, affordable food all day.

We are surprised Foodie Haven did some investigations to find this diner.

Are there other diners in Montana that we should consider?

Absolutely.

There is The Western Cafe in Bozeman.

The Western has been a staple for decades, and the building has been declared a historical landmark.

The diner still serves tasty cinnamon rolls, chicken fried steaks, and eggs for an affordable price.

You could also throw out the Roadhouse Diner in Great Falls.

The Roadhouse Diner has been named the best diner in Montana multiple times.

It's only fair to include them.
