A beautiful hike can make your whole day and luckily living in Montana, we have so many hiking trails to choose from.

USA Today came out with a list of the 10 Scenic Hikes Across the United States and one of the hikes was located in Northwest Montana and speaking from experience, this hike is absolutely worth taking one day.

The scenic hike USA Today chose was the Grinnell Glacier Trail in Glacier National Park.

This is one of the Many Glacier trails and is known for it's breathtaking views.

USA Today wrote,

The 11 mile trail around the Grinnell Glacier Trail takes you past two lakes , a pasture of wildflowers and then finally to the Grinnell Glacier. The hike will also take you up around 1,600 feet elevation throughout the trail.

Well, that's a pretty darn good description of this trail. It's not very well traveled due to the length but taking the Grinnell Glacier Trail is worth the experience.

The sad thing about the Grinnell Glacier Trail though is that it's currently closed due to COVID-19. The whole East Glacier side of Glacier National Park is closed sadly currently.

Luckily, there are still plenty of incredible trails in West Glacier and many others around the Gallatin Valley.

Going on a hike, whether you are by yourself or with friends, is one of the best outdoor activities that you can do in Montana.

So the next time you are thinking about going outside for some fun, go on a hike and enjoy the beauty of the 406.
