As you can see from the update they have tore up quite a bit of the Old Faithful Overpass Bridge. The closure was great for crews to get full access to the bridge to add much need maintenance to things such as deck repairs, new curbing, railing improvements and so many other needed work.

The work has been nonstop on the Old Faithful Bridge and was definitely needed.

The Old Faithful Overpass Bridge has been closed since July 22nd due to safety concerns and to evaluate the condition of the bridge. Yellowstone National Park were concerned about it so much they decided to do some heavy work on it since then.

The work is expected with no weather permitting to be done by October 2020. That's perfect timing because the turning colors in the fall in Yellowstone is absolutely stunning to see. Plus, there aren't as many tourists in the park so you have a lot of room to roam.

You can still access the Upper Geyser Basin and Old Faithful and all the amenities around it. You will just have to take an alternate route to get there sadly.
