An Official Sport For Montana? Makes Sense With This Idea
This idea makes a lot of sense for Montana.
The Official Things of Montana
We have quite a few official things.
Each state has official things. There are state birds, animals, flowers, mottos, and whatever else the state decides to make official.
Most states will pick certain things that have significant meaning.
We learn Montana's official state symbols in school, but do you know all of them?

Montana State Symbols
You should know these things.
Montana has several official state symbols.
Big Sky County has an official bird, butterfly, fish, mammal, flower, tree, fossil, and gemstone.
These state symbols make sense. The grizzly bear(mammal), Ponderosa Pine(tree), and the Westslope Cutthroat Trout(fish) are all iconic things related to Montana.
Some states have added unique symbols in recent years.
Louisiana added beignets as the official state donut, Massachusetts has a state muffin, and Oklahoma has a state vegetable to help kids eat healthier.
Those all seem like crazy ideas, but if they are significant enough to become an official state symbol, then it makes sense.
Montana might have a new state symbol, and it's a significant part of our history.
Montana and Rodeo
It makes sense.
Rodeo plays a crucial part in Montana's communities.
It brings people together and plays a vital part for young adults.
Well, it has a new title.
KTVH reports a house bill could pass soon establishing rodeo as Montana's official sport.
Montana is home to many rodeo champions, and there is a Montana Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame in Great Falls.
Montana would become the 19th state to add an official sport.
The bill has zero opposition and could be fast-tracked to the Governor for approval soon.
It's well-earned, and we can't wait for a new state symbol.
Who doesn't love the rodeo?
