Forbes reports that the Northern Lights are back, and Montana is in a prime position to see them over the next few nights.

Starting tonight, July 2nd, you will see the Northern Lights in the night sky, but Wednesday, July 3rd, and Thursday, July 4th, will have the strongest showings.

According to NOAA, solar activity has been picking up, and this is the start of more appearances from the Northern Lights.

If you want the best chance to see the Northern Lights in Montana, there are a few things you need to do.

The best time to see the Northern Lights will be between 10 PM and 3 AM. That's peak darkness hours.

You will also need to get out of the cities. Avoiding light pollution from houses or street lamps helps the visibility.

It might be a while until we see the Northern Lights again, so don't miss out.
