Did you know that Gallatin County has been working on building some new Nordic ski trails in Bozeman? Once we get some snow again, which could be this weekend, you'll be able to cross country ski on new trails at Gallatin County Regional Park.

According to the county, the trails were designed Dragan Danevski of Montana Endurance Academy, and they will also maintain and groom the trails.

You'll find the new Nordic trails in Gallatin Regional Park near the intersection of Oak Street and Ferguson Avenue.

“We are so excited to provide these trails for the outdoor recreation lovers of Gallatin County,” said Nick Borzak, Gallatin County Chief Operations Officer. “Regional Park is a great location that will provide easy access to Nordic skiing. And the trails add another wonderful component to all of the opportunities that Regional Park provides for its visitors.”

The trail was cut back in October.

In addition to new cross country skiing trails, Gallatin County Regional Park offers a sledding hill, the Anderson Dog Park, a dinosaur playground, ponds for fishing, a beach, along with walking and jogging trails, climbing boulders, picnic tables and pavilions.
