
NE Montana Already Has Small Stream Flood Advisories
Warm temps in the northeast part of Montana has prompted a small stream flooding advisory until Tuesday morning. The rest of the state can't be far behind.
According to the National Weather Service:
The National Weather Service in Glasgow has extended the Small Stream Flood Advisory for snowmelt in:
- Northeastern Phillips County in northeastern Montana and Valley County in northeastern Montana.
- Until 845 AM Tuesday.
- Runoff from snow melt will continue to bring flooding to small streams across the advisory area. While temperatures will be colder today, warmer temperatures will return Monday and Tuesday.
- High water will bring minor flooding along the Milk River, Beaver Creek, Cherry Creek, Rock Creek, Frenchman Creek, Porcupine Creek, West Fork Poplar River, and other small streams.
- Excessive runoff from snowmelt will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.
