Warm temps in the northeast part of Montana has prompted a small stream flooding advisory until Tuesday morning. The rest of the state can't be far behind.

According to the National Weather Service:

The National Weather Service in Glasgow has extended the Small Stream Flood Advisory for snowmelt in:

  • Northeastern Phillips County in northeastern Montana and Valley County in northeastern Montana.
  • Until 845 AM Tuesday.
  • Runoff from snow melt will continue to bring flooding to small streams across the advisory area. While temperatures will be colder today, warmer temperatures will return Monday and Tuesday.
  • High water will bring minor flooding along the Milk River, Beaver Creek, Cherry Creek, Rock Creek, Frenchman Creek, Porcupine Creek, West Fork Poplar River, and other small streams.
