There was a huge turnout of supporters for the U.S. Freedom Convoy that rolled through Montana late Wednesday.

Throughout Gallatin County, supporters parked along I-90 with American flags on display in anticipation of the convoy as it travelled through Montana on its way to Washington D.C. The Freedom Convoy was initially scheduled to arrive in Belgrade at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.

Unfortunately, the convoy was running behind schedule, and some supporters waited until after dark for its arrival. The convoy finally arrived in Belgrade shortly after 7:00 p.m. The U.S. Freedom Convoy was expected to cause major traffic delays in the Belgrade area, but that never happened.

I live in Manhattan and will admit that the number of people that showed up to support the convoy was impressive, but the convoy itself was not. Despite its late arrival and smaller than expected size, it was still amazing to see so many people showing their support.

We spoke to quite a few people while waiting for the convoy to arrive, and many people expected it to be much larger than it actually was, and thought that more truckers would be involved. Many seemed to be disappointed.

It wasn't really much of a convoy.

said one person watching the U.S. Freedom Convoy as it rolled through Manhattan.

After a short stop in Belgrade, the U.S. Freedom Convoy continued east towards Billings, where it stopped for the night. As the convoy headed through Big Timber en route to Billings, drivers were greeted with a fireworks display along I-90.

Even though the convoy wasn't what people anticipated, it was great to see the patriotism of Montanans on full display.
