Montana Sees Record Number Of New Businesses

It's been booming for a few years.

Montana Public Radio reports Big Sky Country had a record-breaking year for new businesses in 2024.

Over 60,000 new businesses got their start in 2024, and it marked the fourth year in a row Montana saw growth.

The area that saw the highest amount of new businesses was Kalispell.

That number seems fantastic, right?

One economic professor at the University of Montana pointed out the number of businesses in good standing.

There are over 324,000 businesses in good standing in Montana. That is a state record.
