Is A Big Name Change Coming To These Montana Businesses?
Could we see a gas station franchise war on the horizon in Montana? It's becoming a possibility.
Even though they cause pain in our wallets, most of us visit gas stations weekly to fill or top off our gas tanks. Gas stations are places where folks can pick up snacks, coffee, drinks, or whatever they can grab on the go.
The largest gas franchise in Montana is Town Pump. You can find a town pump in any Montana city or town. In most cities, you will find more than one town pump location. So, when it comes to gas franchise competition, there isn't much debate.
That might be changing soon.
A few months ago, we announced how the Western gas station franchise Maverik is to build and open a massive location in Helena, and it could start a move of more Maverik locations in Montana.
We might have more Maverick locations on the way after this news. Maverik announced they have purchased the gas station franchise Kum & Go. Maverik announced they will rebrand the Kum & Go locations in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado to Maverik.
What does that mean for the Kum & Go locations in Montana? They won't be rebranding yet, but they have plans to make them into Maverik gas stations in the next couple of years.
That means we will have a full-blown gas station franchise battle in Montana, and I am all for it. I love Town Pump gas stations, but Maverik gas stations are incredible. I am all for this, especially if it helps lower gas prices.
Who's ready?
