Let’s Be Smart Montana, This Isn’t Sunny Los Angeles.
Let's be real, it's fun to get dressed up and hit the town with our partners in crime. With New Year's Eve right around the corner, it's easy to want to wear the cutest outfit you have been eyeing in your closet. But we do live in Montana, and temperatures can drop in the snap of a finger.
With that being said, here are a couple of friendly reminders on how to look good (and not ridiculous) and be safe this New Year's Eve.
Temperatures are predicted to be under 20 degrees for New Year's Eve evening. That means you should most likely NOT be wearing a mini skirt or a crop top with your skin exposed to the cold weather. Throw on some leggings if you are planning to wear that mini.
Please don't think that you should try and walk home after you have had a night out. There are many different forms of transportation (UBER, LYFT, Designated Driver) that you can use, just plan ahead.
Frostbite is real. After throwing back a couple of adult beverages, we seem to lose a bit of our common sense. We may not think it's as cold as it is outside and that's when frostbite can get the best of us. Have your gloves, hats, appropriate footwear, and a safe ride home.
Although it would be fun to have warm California weather for this fun event every year, we do not and will not ever have that here in beautiful Montana. So as you are making your plans for this weekend, be smart Montana.
