Snow is predicted in the Bozeman area early next week. The heaviest snowfall is expected to occur on Monday and Tuesday.

Bozeman is predicted to get at least 1 to 2 inches of snow on Monday. A mixture of rain and snow is in the forecast, but more snow is expected to accumulate Monday night.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Watch for much of southwestern Montana, including Beaverhead County, Madison County, and Gallatin County, beginning late Sunday night. Heavy snow is possible from late Sunday night through Tuesday morning for elevations about 6,000 feet. While Bozeman isn't quite at that elevation, we're not completely off the radar. The locations impacted include the City of Bozeman.

Snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches are possible. Roads, especially bridges and overpasses are likely to become hazardous and slick. Motorists are encouraged to drive with caution and give themselves additional time to reach their destination. Delaying all travel should also be considered.
