Legendary Country Star Will Make Appearance on ABC’s Big Sky
Even though this is one popular show on TV, there is still one problem with the show. Maybe this will help us get over that.
Deadline announced that the popular drama Big Sky on ABC has cast legendary country star Reba McEntire in the upcoming third season. Not only have they cast Reba McEntire as a series regular, but former Supernatural star Jensen Ackles has joined the cast as well.
Reba McEntire is set up to play the matriarch of the Brick Family, a successful backcountry outfitter who has a history of missing customers. If there is one thing that's true about Montana, many folks disappear in the backcountry, and that is a fantastic setup for TV drama.
Big Sky has set the show near Yellowstone National Park and Helena, Montana the past two seasons, and I am interested in where this new season will be set in Montana. One huge issue that many Montanans have with the show is that even though the series is set in Montana, they film everything in British Columbia. If only they could learn from other shows like Yellowstone, they could gain even more fans.
Adding Reba McEntire to the cast is a massive plus for the new season. Yellowstone had two country icons, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill starred in their prequel series 1883 to incredible success.
Plus, I can't wait to see Reba McEntire set up to be the third season's villain, and that will be great television.
Season 3 of Big Sky will start filming soon and will premiere in the Fall of 2022, and there will more details as they come out.
