Delta, American, United, and Southwest allow kids as young as five to fly alone.
Don't worry. You won't have to say goodbye to your kid at the TSA line. You can accompany them to the terminal and help them board the plane before it takes off.
Every airline requires that every flight for the kids be nonstop to their final destination. No layovers.
That makes sense because you don't want a child walking around a massive airport trying to find their gate.
