The smallest commercial airport in America is the Dawson Community Airport in Glendive.

This news isn't a surprise. We have talked about how the Dawson Community Airport has been named the smallest commercial airport in America for several years.

What did surprise us was that the Montana airport landed at #2 on the list.

Havre City-County Airport is the second smallest commercial airport in America.

This news makes a lot of sense. Havre's airport helps employees come to the area for the Canadian border patrol, the surrounding plants, or agricultural areas.

The only flight from these airports is to Billings on Cape Air.

Cape Air uses small planes to fly into underserved areas across America. The flights are affordable, and you have an aisle and window seat.

It makes sense why these two Montana airports made the list. We are only surprised more weren't in the Top 7.
