Montana Restaurant Up for Prestigious ‘Best New Restaurant’ Award

A popular Montana restaurant is receiving national attention, and has been named a finalist for a prestigious James Beard Award in the Best New Restaurant category.

In January, the James Beard Foundation announced its list of semifinalists for the 2024 James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards ceremony that will take place at the Lyric Opera of Chicago on June 10, 2024. Chefs and restaurants in Montana are no stranger to being named semifinalists, but it's not often that a restaurant in the state is named a finalist.

BOZEMAN RESTAURANT NAMED JAMES BEARD AWARD FINALIST

Shan, a popular Asian fusion restaurant in Bozeman, Montana has been named a finalist for the prestigious James Beard Foundation Award for Best New Restaurant. Shan offers patrons a unique dining experience that celebrates both Asian culinary traditions, and local Montana-sourced ingredients.

Owners Jarrett Wrisley and Candice Lin opened Shan in 2023, and the restaurant has quickly earned a reputation for being one of the best in Big Sky Country. Winners for the 2024 James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards will be announced on Monday, June 10, 2024 at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
