Big Snowstorm Next Week Could Blanket Montana in White
Montana hasn't had the winter that most of us hoped for, but it looks like some good news is on the way. Looking ahead at the extended forecast, a major snowstorm could blanket the state in snow early next week.
Many of us have been paying close attention to the forecast and staying positive about the potential for a late winter. Here's something to be excited about. The National Weather Service says that Colder temperatures and snow are expected throughout Montana starting next Tuesday.
While it's still too early to predict total snowfall amounts, things are looking pretty promising. As of right now, lighter snow is expected at lower elevations, but mountain ranges across the state could receive a significant amount of much-needed snow.

Weather conditions change constantly, but right now it looks like the storm is heading straight towards Big Sky Country, which is great news for ski areas across the state that have been struggling this season.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that the storm stays on course and doesn't move to the north or south. At this point, we'll take any amount of snow that Mother Nature decides to give us.

Many residents in Montana have been enjoying the above-average temperatures so far this winter, but the longer we go without snow, the more dire things look for the summer ahead.
