For Sale: Ennis’ Gravel Bar Could Change Hands Soon
Bars and restaurants in small Montana towns can be the heartbeat of a community, serving many purposes - not just burgers and beers. Another of my favorites is for sale in Ennis, Montana.
The Gravel Bar in downtown Ennis isn't the oldest bar around, but they've done a really good job under current ownership since 2011. Great food, a cool bar, patio space, plenty of room, a little gambling, and live music. It has everything you need, and it's for sale.
NOTE: I do not have any connection to the Gravel Bar - I don't even know who currently owns it. But I've always enjoyed myself there and want someone to buy it who won't turn it into an art gallery or a land development office.
It's a pretty big piece of property, spanning two lots and half an acre. Their outdoor patio area is quite large and can accommodate live music and outdoor eating. It's a good place to hang out and I've always loved their burgers.

The menu at The Gravel Bar isn't complicated, which makes it good. Burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, and a few specials keep things easy and tasty. There's obviously a full bar, plenty of seats, and video gambling machines.
If you're just passing through and need some lunch, it doesn't take forever. You know you can enjoy something delicious and you can be on your way. But I advise taking your time and hanging out for a while.

Taken directly from their online menu, here is what you'll find for their house specialties in addition to the tasty burgers and sandwiches:

with parsnips, carrots, peas & onions. Topped with
whipped cheddar potatoes $21 - Chicken Green Chili Enchiladas: Baked
with corn tortillas and Monterey Jack cheese. Served
with rice and beans. $20 - Fish and Chips: Fried beer battered walleye
served with slaw, fries and tartar $19
