This Popular Montana Favorite Considered Most Overrated Food In U.S.
When it comes to famous foods in Montana, we have a few. There is the pasty, the huckleberry, the Flat Head Cherry, and a few others.
It seems that all across the United States of America there are favorites from the different states or regions that are fan favorites. However, according to one source, a Montana favorite is considered one of the most overrated foods in the country.

The folks at Cheapism came out with a list of the most overrated foods, on on the list was barbeque, lobster roll, deep dish pizza, Nashville hot chicken, and a what many consider a delicacy here in Big Sky Country.
Which Montana food is considered overrated?
So which food is it? Bison? How about Elk? While the most overrated Montana food is a protein, both the Bison and the Elk are safe. According to Cheapism, the last food to make the list is.....Rocky Mountain Oysters.
I've never had them, and I doubt I ever will. For whatever reason (we know the reason) I can't make myself eat them. However, I know several Montanans that enjoy them. So, when I saw that they made the list, I was a bit surprised.
The reason?
Cheapism went on to say that they were nothing more than a gristly gamey chicken nugget. Once again, I've never tried them, so I don't know, but I do know that many folks who eat them, seem to eat them with some sort of condiment, Ranch being the most popular.
