In a board meeting Tuesday evening, Big Sky Country State Fair board members voted in favor of a recommendation to cancel the fair this summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fair is scheduled for July 15-19, and now the fate of the Big Sky Country State Fair is in the hands of the Gallatin County Commission.

Gallatin County commissioners will vote on the recommendation on Tuesday, May 26. At that time, and official announcement will be made on whether or not the fair will be cancelled this summer.
