Not only is this video a blast from the past but also a blast of cool air that can feel refreshing during these hot days of summer.

We are just at the beginning of summer and the weather has been absolutely blistering hot and some folks might not have the luxury of air conditioning and might need some creative ways on how to stay cool. I was thinking about what folks could do and then I remembered a video I made my first year of working at 96.7 KISS FM on how to build a DIY air conditioner. If you haven't seen the video, please watch this award-winning video.

As you can see, this is probably the most basic air conditioner you can make if you are on a budget but, to be honest, I remember this contraption working pretty darn great. The fan pumped out cool air consistently and the cooler never leaked. That is a huge plus in my book.

Even though putting together the air conditioner might take a little bit of work and elbow grease, if you are in an apartment complex or house without cool air, you might want to build one of these.

I love looking back at videos like this because they bring me back to a time where I was brand new to Bozeman and wanted to make fun videos and content. I love it.

So instead of buying a high-priced air conditioning unit for your house or apartment, why don't you build one and have some fun?

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
