Bozeman Ski Area Sets New Record After Legendary Winter

After years of having mild winters here in Montana, we now see what a great winter season can do for a ski area.

Montana has some of the best ski areas and resorts in North America. Whether you want a local mountain or a fancy resort, Montana has something for everyone. Montana has had mild winters for the past few years, and the ski season has been brutal. This past ski season was different.

The 2022-23 ski season was fantastic, thanks to massive snowfall hitting the mountain in early October. Many ski areas opened early, and skiers and snowboarders alike were thrilled.

One mountain that benefitted was Bozeman's Bridger Bowl. Bridger Bowl is the local's choice to go snowboarding or skiing. The runs are smooth, and the ticket prices won't break the bank.

How did this fantastic winter help Bridger Bowl? According to NBC Montana, Bridger Bowl has set a new visitation record. Bridger Bowl saw over 377,000 skiers and snowboarders during their season.

That number beat the previous record by over 85,000. The previous record was slightly over 291,000 during the 2018-19 season.

To say Bridger Bowl shattered this record is an understatement. Locals and tourists were flocking to Bridger Bowl this past ski season because they were tired of paying an insane amount of money at the other ski resort in the area. Plus, it helps the Bridger Bowl is only a twenty-minute drive from Bozeman.

Bridger Bowl has a deep history in the Gallatin Valley. The mountain has been in operation for almost 70 years.

All of my friends who are powder hounds spent most of their time shredding at Bridger Bowl this past ski season. They love the easy-going nature of the mountain and how it's mostly all locals who experience Bridger Bowl.

If Montana has another winter like this for the 2023-24 season, we could see this record break again.
