Bozeman’s Goodwill Store Is Closed. What’s Next For The Building?

I drive by the recently closed Goodwill Store and I can't help but wonder what business will end up going in there. Of course, when I get these crazy thoughts in my head, I can't just let them go. I am a bit neurotic when it comes to the little squeaky wheels turning in my brain.

What would I put in the vacant building? Hear me out, it's not some crazy money-hungry idea, it's rather logical and I think many people would appreciate it, or at least the kiddos.

So growing up we had a couple of birthday party options. We had Skateland, the local bowling alley, or Chucky Cheese. To be completely honest, bowling was the easiest because they let us bring in our own pizza, but they would have the cupcakes and pitchers of orange soda. It was budget-friendly and you could usually invite more than a couple of kids. Nothing really beats the old "bowling birthday party".

So for this specific location, I think we should have a "birthday center" or really any type of celebration center. A place where you can have 5 kids, 10 kids, heck even 20 kids. You can choose a theme for the party.

Maybe you want to have a "red carpet viewing" party? Everyone can dress up, walk down the red carpet, stop for selfies, and watch a movie on the "big screen" while having "fancy appetizers" and punch. Get a little Hollywood Glam bag to take home at the end of the night.

Or how about a "hunter's dream" party? Play some unlimited Buck Hunter, 3d archery shooting, all while streaming some of "Montana's best hunting videos" on the screen. Lots of other fun stations could be set up as well like "guess what animal this fur came from", "what kind of jerky is this"? You get the point.

Just a few ideas, and obviously each party could be suited to whatever the kiddo's passion is.

Here is the best part about this idea, I truly believe it should be reasonably priced, even income sensitive. No kid should not have a great birthday because it's too expensive. Parents are working hard to pay the increased rent, property taxes, grocery expenses, gas, etc., the last thing they should have to worry about is how will they afford a birthday party for the kids.

What do you think Montana? Am I completely crazy? Or is this something that could be put to good use for everyone?
