Bozeman Bluegrass Band Gets Love From Grammy Winning Artist

A few weeks ago, my friend Cindy and I drove to the KettleHouse Amphitheater in Bonner, Montana to see a concert featuring an artist that has recently become one of my personal favorites, Billy Strings.

Billy Strings has brought traditional bluegrass music to an entirely new audience and has been called one of the greatest musical talents of our lifetime. In 2020, Billy Strings' album Home won the Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album. Strings and his band definitely didn't disappoint at their concert at the KettleHouse Amphitheater.

Billy Strings is no stranger to playing in Montana. In the past, he's performed at the Big Sky Big Grass Festival in Big Sky, and at Pine Creek Lodge in Paradise Valley. Earlier this summer, he was a part of the lineup at the Under the Big Sky Festival in Whitefish. His performance at the KettleHouse Amphitheater in September was his second visit to Montana this year.

While on stage, Billy Strings gave a shoutout to a local Bozeman bluegrass band. Strings says he's good friends with the Kitchen Dwellers, a five-piece, high energy psychedelic bluegrass band from Bozeman. Billy Strings loves Bozeman and performing in Big Sky country. At his most recent concert in Montana, he told the audience that the first time he ever went skiing was at Big Sky.
