From Country Swing to 70s Rock to punk and metal. Choices abound this weekend around the Gallatin Valley. Here are some great options to see live music this weekend:

Thursday, August 26th: The Lil Smokies with Ryan Acker Band at Pine Creek Lodge - (2496 East River Road, south of Livingston) Happening 7pm to 11pm. "Drawing on the energy of a rock band and the Laurel Canyon songwriting of the ‘70s". Tickets and further info available at the link above.

Friday, August 27th: Back to School Honky Tonk at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds - Happening 7pm to 11pm. Hosted by Outlaw Country Dancers. This is a family friendly dance event. Absolutely no alcohol is allowed. Admission: Singles $6, Couples $10.

Friday, August 27th: Uncorked and Unplugged Live Music Series at Blend - (31 South Willson, downtown Bozeman) FREE, acoustic music. Happening 7pm to 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Friday, August 27th: Dance Social at 521 E Peach St, Bozeman - Just $5 at the door. "includes a variety of dance styles including country, swing, latin and ballroom but with a different music theme. From vintage to modern, classics to secret favorites, including some line dancing. Non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks provided"

Friday, August 27th: ORNJ @ The Haufbrau Round 2 - (22 South 8th Ave, Bozeman) Music starts at 9pm. "Jams and Marmalades...Handcrafted in Bozeman, MT"

Saturday, August 28th: The Wind and the Willows w/ Chace McNinch at The Filling Station - (2005 North Rouse Ave, Bozeman) Tickets $15 advance, $20 at the door. This is a 21+ show. Doors at 6pm, music at 7pm.

Saturday, August 28th: Matt Miller LIVE at Stacey’s in Gateway - NO COVER charge. Bring your dancing shoes. Music starts at 8pm. Country and western, originals and covers.

Sunday, August 29th: Sunday Uncovered: Halley's Return and Kannabyss at The Filling Station - (2005 North Rouse) Starts at 8pm. FREE SHOW. "a dose of punk and doom metal".
