8 Fantastic Events To Honor And Enjoy Memorial Day Weekend Around Bozeman
Known as the unofficial start of summer, but more importantly - a weekend to honor those military personnel who died while serving our country - Memorial Day Weekend is packed with events for the entire family. The Bozeman area offers tons of choices to satisfy both ends of the spectrum.
Friday, May 26th - Mobile Vet Center Outreach in Bozeman: From 7:30am to 10am. The Mobile Vet Center (MVC) will provide information about Vet Center and VA services to veterans, military service members, community service providers and veteran family members. Vet Center Staff will be available to answer questions and assist with enrollment in readjustment counseling services, VA healthcare and other VA and Veteran specific programs.
Friday, May 26th - The Dirty Shame Trio LIVE at The Old Saloon: (210 Railroad Lane, Emigrant, MT) No cover charge. Starts at 8pm. The Dirty Shame is an outlaw country quintet whose rough, smoke-filled-bar, highwayman numbers have all the ruggedness and questionable morality of Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings.
Friday, May 26th - CONDUCTOR @ THE FILLING STATION W/ STILGONE AND ART & FUNK COLLECTIVE: (2005 North Rouse, Bozeman) Starts at 9pm. Tickets $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Conductor is an Avant-Rock trio with a mixture of Blues and Punk. With influences from Jimi Hendrix to the Meat Puppets.
Friday, May 26th - Dance Party - International Night at the Rialto Bozeman: (10 West Main, downtown Bozeman) Happening 8pm to midnight. Tickets $15. 18+. The most diverse dance party in Montana! DJs Big Lou & Shady will be mixing Afrobeats, Latin, Hip Hop, K-Pop & more in this one-of-a-kind event. Discover new music and find yourself dancing to both new and classic songs from around the world.
Saturday, May 27th - A Walking Tour of Unique and Hidden Architectural Gems in Downtown Bozeman: Happens 1pm to 2:30pm. Hosted by the Extreme History Project. Get tickets in advance at the link above. (234 East Mendenhall). Join authors Susan Anderegg and Paul Stouffer on a walk around downtown as they point out many of the unique, hidden features highlighted in their book, while sharing the stories and historical significance behind them.
Sunday, May 28th - Cars and Coffee at The Garage in Bozeman: (33 West Haley Springs Road) We host this meet-up every Sunday Morning starting at 10:00 A.M. during the Summer. Everyone is welcome! Bring your Car, Truck, Jeep, Motorcycle, or whatever else ya got! We're offering coffee, burritos, and a few other rotating breakfast menu items as well as our new Testarossa Mimosa!
Sunday, May 28th - 7th Annual Testicle Festival at The Old Saloon: (210 Railroad Lane, Emigrant, MT) Starts at 4pm. This is a FREE Music Festival to everyone of all ages. Live music from Jaden Decker kicks it off at 4pm, followed by Peter King’s Neon Rainbow at 6pm, and The Damn Quails at 8pm. Rocky mountain oysters and beverages available for purchase.
Sunday, May 28th - From Tents to Town: Bozeman's Historic Main Street Walking Tour: Happening 1pm to 2:30pm. Hosted by the Extreme History Project. (234 East Mendenhall) Explore Bozeman’s historic Main Street. Once a gathering place for the local indigenous peoples’ tribes, Bozeman also served a vital role during the 1860s gold rush. Enjoy the stories of the colorful characters like John Bozeman, Daniel Rouse, Nelson Story and architect Fred Willson. Tickets available in advance at the link above.
