I'm not married. BUT my guess is stealing your future father-in-law's credit card isn't the best way to get welcomed to the family?! Not only did Brittany Marie Sterna-Lanaghan steal the card but also spent $6000 on it.  Most of which was for wedding expenses.

Billings Gazette - Brittany Marie Sterna-Lanaghan, 20, appeared before District Judge Gregory Todd and pleaded guilty to a felony charge of deceptive practices by common scheme.

A plea agreement calls for prosecutors and Sterna-Lanaghan's public defender to recommend a six-year deferred sentence and a $500 fine. The agreement also states that the attorneys will suggest that Sterna-Lanaghan write a letter of apology and be ordered to pay $5,776 in restitution.

I'm not sure what is worse.  Her feeling bad about stealing the credit card or her fiance's dad's  disappointment in his son for wanting to marry a thief?
