The Big Sky Conference Twitter Is Ruthless and We Love It

This is the best way to kick off the start of the college football season.

Montana State football kicks off its 2022 season this Saturday against McNeese State, but the college football season technically started last week. The first game of the season was played between the Northwestern Wildcats and the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Dublin, Ireland.

You might be wondering, who cares about a game between two teams in the Big Ten Conference? Well, the Nebraska Cornhuskers are a team that is supposed to be good every year but has been struggling over the past several years. After they lost to Northwestern this past weekend, Twitter came for them.

The Big Sky Conference has a strong history of producing playoff football teams at the FCS level. Eastern Washington, UC Davis, University of Montana, Weber State, and Montana State are powerhouse teams on the FCS level.

The Big Sky Conference is saying we don't need a floundering football program to join our league because we are good with the teams we have. Maybe Nebraska should join the Mountain West conference.

I love that the college football season is about to be in full sprint starting this weekend, and the Big Sky Conference is taking no prisoners—on or off the field.
