Ariana Grande isn’t ashamed to let her Broadway geek freak flag fly — and why should she be?

On Saturday (July 30), the pop star uploaded a series of adorable video clips to Snapchat showcasing a karaoke party she threw at her house, along with a very special guest: Family Guy creator and actor Seth MacFarlane.

Together, the seemingly unlikely duo performed a spirited duet of “Impossible” from the Rogers and Hammerstein Cinderella musical adaptation originally starring Whitney Houston and R&B artist Brandy.

However, Grande and MacFarlane go back quite a bit: Way back in 2011, the pop star gushed about MacFarlane’s voice in a tweet, writing, “Last night I saw Seth Macfarlane sing hits from the 40s with an orchestra! He was fantastic, I love his voice!”

Two years later, she had positive things to say about the fellow show-tunes aficionado on Twitter following his controversial gig hosting the Oscars, tweeting, “’We Saw Your Boobs’ - Seth MacFarlane is the best song ever.”

And the feeling was apparently mutual: In 2014, Grande made a hilarious vocal cameo during an episode of MacFarlane’s hit animated comedy series, voicing a loud “Italian girl” living next door to the Griffin family.
