Annette Charles, who played Sandy Olson’s dancing rival Cha Cha DiGregorio in the 1978 movie-musical ‘Grease,’ died Wednesday at her home in Los Angeles. She was 63.

Charles, who was initially hospitalized for pneumonia, died from complications from cancer, her rep confirmed to TMZ.

In addition to ‘Grease,’ Charles had roles on such TV shows as ‘Barnaby Jones,’ ‘The Bionic Woman’ and ‘Magnum, P.I.’ She later left her Hollywood career behind to become a speech professor at California State University Northridge.

Charles’ death comes just a few months after the tragic loss of her ‘Grease’ co-star, Jeff Conaway, who slipped into a coma in May after a drug overdose.
