Eggs are great. Fried eggs, poached eggs, baked eggs in shakshuka, eggs on avocado toast, boiled eggs in ramen, deviled eggs; there’s so many things to love about eggs. But eggs can also be pretty terrible if they’re housing vicious creatures from a far-away planets intent on bursting out of your chest and murdering you. I’ll pass on those eggs.

The new one sheet for Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenent is all about the ominous presence of one egg. An allusion to the original poster for 1979’s Alien, the new poster finds an even more dangerous looking egg, drenched in dark shadows and an eerie forest green light. While the original Alien poster egg, hovering in mid-air with a neon green light, might have inspired an “ooh-ahh” of wonder, this one says “get the hell out of here RIGHT NOW.”
