4.1 Magnitude Quake Rattles Gallatin Valley
A 4.1 magnitude earthquake rattled the Gallatin Valley on Monday evening.
According to the USGS, the quake was centered near Manhattan, Montana, at a depth of just over 3.1 miles below the surface.
The seismic event hit at 10:27 p.m and was felt by people in surrounding areas, such as Belgrade, and the Four Corners area of Bozeman.
This comes after a string of smaller quakes, also centered near Manhattan, shook residents both Saturday and Sunday.
On Sunday, a 3.6 magnitude earthquake hit the area at 5:50 p.m., which was just one of nine quakes of at least 2.5 or more to hit the area over the weekend.
