Tina Fey Blasts Donald Trump, Nazis While ‘Sheetcaking’ on ‘Weekend Update’

Hey, Nazis — you’ve met your match.

Saturday Night Live alum Tina Fey stopped by her old stomping grounds on Thursday night (August 17) when she appeared on Weekend Update‘s summer episode. Fey, a 1992 graduate of the University of Virginia, shared some insight on the Nazi march in Charlottesville that left one woman dead, mixing pointed commentary with memorable punchlines…and plenty of dessert.

After blasting President Trump for having a “jackass” name and wishing upcoming alt-right rallies end with neo-Nazis getting the “ham salad kicked out of them by a bunch of drag queens,” the comedian encouraged people to buy a cake with an American flag and partake in a “eat your feelings” practice she dubbed “sheetcaking.”

When host Colin Jost asked how eating the cake helps, Fey, quipped, “Love is love.” She was just getting warmed up, though. “It’s not our country,” she said. “We stole it from Native Americans. When they have a peaceful protest at Standing Rock we shoot at them with rubber bullets but we let you chinless turds march in the streets with semi-automatic weapons.”

Then, she recommended yelling into the cake before blasting those who may not see her point of view, by saying, “Who drove the car into the crowd, Hillary’s emails?”

She wrapped up her blistering segment — or put the icing on the cake, as it were — by imploring viewers to “treat these rallies like the opening of a thoughtful movie with two female leads: don’t show up.”
