‘SNL’ Deleted Scenes: Jeremy Renner Has a Shirtless Thanksgiving
Though Jeremy Renner's turn hosting 'SNL' this past weekend may have felt somewhat uneven, many would argue that the normally-stoic 'Avengers' star still did a better job than other hosts unprepared for sketch comedy, like Daniel Craig, or even to a degree Louis C.K. And while Renner wasn't present for the Guy Fieri deleted scene that exploded in popularity yesterday, another 'SNL' deleted scene is making the rounds that might have seen Renner at his best! Check out what didn't make the cut!
SNL’s Stefon Offers Tips To Enjoying Halloween
In conjunction with this coming All Hallows Eve, last night's episode of 'Saturday Night Live' — with host and musical guest, Bruno Mars — offered New York's denizens and tourists a few suggestions for enjoying the holiday weekend. And naturally, who better to comment on the city's best parties than 'Weekend Update' City Correspondent, Stefon?
Watch Deleted Scenes From ‘Saturday Night Live’s’ ‘The Real Housewives of Disney’
Many people thought the best part of Lindsay Lohan‘s much-ballyhooed return to ‘Saturday Night Live‘ a couple weeks ago was ‘The Real Housewives of Disney’ spoof. In the sketch, Lohan’s Rapunzel and Kristen Wiig‘s boozy Cinderella are joined by a group of backstabbing, gossip-y Disney princesses who behave in a similar matter to the (sort of) real life ladies of Bravo’s various ‘Housewives’ reality TV series.
Tom Hanks and His Oscars Put Jonah Hill in His Place on ‘Saturday Night Live’
Something very important happened between the time when Jonah Hill first hosted ‘Saturday Night Live‘ in 2008 and when he did for the second time last night — the 28-year-old was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in ‘Moneyball.’ Although he ultimately lost to Christopher Plummer, apparently the nomination had gone to Hill’s head just a little bit.
Maya Rudolph Spoofs Oprah In Unaired ‘Saturday Night Live’ Sketch
During his post Oscar special, Jimmy Kimmel did a skit in which he pitched Oprah programming ideas for her OWN network. While clearly a spoof, some of Kimmel’s ideas, like ‘Fight Club Book Club‘ would’ve been sort of great.
‘Saturday Night Live’ was thinking about running a very similar skit during the show last week, with host Maya Rudolph doing her famous Oprah impression. But it didn’t make the final cut. However, SNL has released the dress rehearsal footage for the never aired Weekend Update segment on their website.
Charles Barkley Gives the Best Shaq Attack on ‘Saturday Night Live’ [VIDEO]
The former basketball player and outspoken media personality, Charles Barkley, delighted sports fans with a pitch-perfect parody of Shaquille O’Neal on ‘Saturday Night Live.’ Almost as entertaining, though, was when he got a taste of his own medicine.
Justin Timberlake And Andy Samberg Debut “3 Way (The Golden Rule)” On SNL [video]
The Andy Sandburg and Justin Timberlake duo hit us with "3 Way (The Golden Rule)" on Saturday night. Still featuring Susan Sarandon and Patricia Clarkson as the mothers but this time LADY GAGA appears. She wants them both in a 3 way. Hard topic for the 2 to figure out? The lyrics say it all "It's OK to put us in a three-way / It's not gay when it's in a three-way / With a honey in the middle there's some leeway / The area's gray in a one, two, three-way."
Elton John Hosts ‘Saturday Night Live’ [VIDEOS]
Elton John put on a show as host of ÔSaturday Night LiveÕ this weekend, marking only his second appearance on the long running sketch comedy show.
In his opening monologue, John proclaimed Òthe bitch is backÓ before launching into a series of jokes about his new baby boy, whom John said was born with Òten fingers, ten toes, and $400 million dollars.Ó John also joked about Lady Gaga being his sonÕs (named Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John) godmother.
As for the actual sketches, many seemed to rely on jokes about JohnÕs British roots, his flamboyant stage persona and his sexuality, including one sketch titled ÔThe Old West,Õ in which John played, well, a flamboyant cowboy. (Really, can you blame the writers? WeÕre still trying to figure out why John hosted in the first place.)
