The Big Sky Conference has announced that starting in 2019 and through 2021 the Big Sky Conference Championships for men's and women's basketball is going to happen at Century Link Arena in Boise, Idaho. I am actually excited for the change.

I used to live in Boise for several years, and I know Century Link Arena very, very well. They have had an arena football team in there (RIP Boise Burn), an NBA D-League team (RIP Boise Stampede) and have one of the most successful minor league hockey teams, the Idaho Steelheads, for several years. Plus, they have had Davis Cup qualifiers for tennis, concerts and much more in this venue. I forgot to mention also it's in the heart of downtown Boise, so you are close to everything from shops to hotels to delicious food.

I think this is a home run for the Big Sky Conference and Bobcat fans because whether you fly or drive, Boise is a lot closer than Reno, and I think way more fun.
