Fake Will Smith Tweet Causing Controversy

A recent Tweet comparing the tragic Trayvon Martin shooting with the Kim Kardashian flour incident went viral because it was seemingly sent by actor Will Smith. Except it wasn’t. The Tweet was from Twitter user @RealWillSmith, who is not, in fact, the real Will Smith.

Jessica Simpson didn’t allow her pregnancy to slow her down any this past weekend as she traveled to Lucas Oil Stadium to watch the New York Giants take on the New England Patriots for Super Bowl XLVI.

“My a– is gonna waddle to the Super Bowl,” Simpson tweeted just days before the big game. “Who’s comin’ with me????”

When British tourists Leigh Van Bryan and Emily Banting arrived in Los Angeles, customs officials discovered that Van Bryan had recently sent out a tweet about “destroying America.”

While any English person (and most Americans) would understand that by “destroy” he meant to get rip-roaring drunk and party so hard that he ends up offending a Kardashian, the literal-minded officials detained the pair for making terroristic threats.

Business School Offering $74,000 Scholarship for Best Tweet

Twitter skills are going to score one student a full ride to The University of Iowa’s Henry B. Tippie School of Management.

To win the $37,200-a-year scholarship, applicants have to answer one of their essay questions within Twitter’s 140 character limit. The Trippie School’s website does encourage that links to other social media “such as blogs, video, Facebook, or a web page” be included in the Tweet, to show the applicants’ creativity.
