Christmas Eve Jinx

You would think Christmas Eve was a time to celebrate but in our family it turned into a day where we hoped nothing would go wrong. You could say it was a jinks or something but every Christmas Eve something would go wrong at our house. I was talking about it tonight but my family has a Christmas Eve curse. The first Christmas Eve I can remember we came home to our two story condo and the whole upstairs was flooded the water was coming through the light fixtures. It was a disaster to say the least. That is the first Christmas Eve tragedy I remember. The next year we were all having dinner at the table and one of my sisters boyfriends at the time knocked over a candle to set our whole table cloth on fire....after I knew we were safe I kind of laughed. The next year once again we had all been at church and when we came out to get in the car mind you five of us kids and my parents we were locked out of the car with no spare keys in ten below weather. Our last Christmas Eve's have been pretty quite since we stopped doing anything on Christmas Eve but tonight is the night so let us be careful:) I hope ya ll have a good Christmas Eve and know nothing will go wrong because if it does it will be sent my way with the whole Mills family!
