Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” Gets Certified Diamond After Selling 10 Million Units
Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” featuring Charlie Puth now has a monumental milestone to celebrate.
Today (Dec. 6), the RIAA has certified the track as Diamond, with the colossal banger becoming one of only 25 songs to ever reach the accolade of selling over 10 million units.
The track, which was released in 2015 and appears on the Furious 7: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, has officially sold over 10.3 million units, according to the RIAA.
As a tribute to the late Paul Walker, the track reached incredible heights, spending 12 weeks at the No. 1 slot on the Billboard Hot 100. It went on to tie with Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” as the fourth-longest-running track to dominate the No. 1 slot.
Additionally, the accompanying music video went on to become the fastest video on YouTube to reach 1 billion views. At the time of this report, it’s nearing 4 billion views.
Recently, Wiz celebrated the six-year anniversary of his O.N.I.F.C. album, a project that helped further catapult the 2010 XXL Freshman's career to a new level.
